SKS is conducting its first charitable activity of the year:
FOOD DRIVE for Hopelink and BOOK DRIVE for Reading Tree on Ugadi day (April 9th 2011) at Redmond High School. Here is a great opportunity to come together as a community and give back to the community. Please consider bringing an item for each of these causes from home on Ugadi day – the more the merrier!! Booths will be setup to drop off these items at the event. If each attendee donates an item or two, we can definitely make a difference. Thank you for your generosity!

Hopelink serves homeless and low income families, children, seniors and people with disabilities.Hopelink’s greatest needs are for non-perishable items needed year-round such as the following:
Peanut Butter
Pasta, rice and dry beans
Cereal and oatmeal
Canned soup, chili and stew
Canned fruit & tomato products
Cooking oil
Onions and potatoes
Holiday staples such as flour, sugar, stuffing and olives
Baby items such as diapers and wipes
Shampoo, soap, toothpaste, tooth brushes, deodorant, toilet paper, paper towels
Reading Tree supports children's literacy by getting books into the hands of children.
Reading Tree accepts ALL types of books - children and adult, hardback or paperback, used or new.
